Now to him, who is able…

20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. – Ephesians 3:20-21

I’m hanging out with a really cool group of Jesus girls for the next 30 days.  It’s called the 30 Day Giving Challenge.  (follow the link or click on the button up there on the right)

I must say that I am not a big fan of talking about ways that I or my family is called to give.  I am always convicted by Matthew 6:1-4 which says,

1 “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

There is so much that God has been doing in my heart, so many things that I will begin to share with you very soon.  Some deep-down inside, rip yourself open for all to read, kinda stuff.. not to glorify any sin, but to claim victory and glory for the One who has poured out opulent grace over this chick. And because this ever-changing season is at my heels, I wanted to make sure that my heart was in the right place.  The place of surrender, sacrifice, obedience.   Empty of pridefulness or any need for approval for self.

For the next 30 days, I am dedicated to giving.  Giving of my time, talents, resources and possessions to Him and for Him. There will be no “look at me” here on this blog.. but only look at Him.  Now to HIM, who is able.. create in me a clean heart, O, Lord.
